This paper describes adispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME), using 1,2-dichloroethane (EDC) as extractionsolvent associated with gas chromatography-flame ionization detector (GC-FID) for determination of traces of 2-nitrotoluene (2-NT), 3-nitrotoluene (3-NT), 4-nitrotoluene (4-NT), 2,4-dinitrotoluene (2,4-DNT) and 2,6-dinitrotoluene (2,6-DNT) in an aqueous medium. In this analytical procedure, asuitable mixture of extraction solvent (EDC) and dispersive solvent (methanol) was rapidly injected into aqueous samples.
